First-time guide
Spice Day is a service where you can casually post plans like, “I’m going somewhere soon—anyone interested in coming along?” or “I have some free time and want to walk around or grab a meal with someone.”
You can find someone to join you for sightseeing, walking, meals, shopping, events, or other plans that fit your day and mood.
If you create an event
1. Create a post
Enter the date, area, category, meeting place, description, and other details. It is best to write clearly so people can understand what the plan is about.
2. Use the open chat
Each post has an open chat. People can ask questions before applying, so it can be used to share details and the general atmosphere of the plan.
3. Review and approve applications
When someone applies, you can review the application and approve it. Once approved, you can move on to more specific communication.
4. Decide the details in private chat
After approval, private chat becomes available. You can discuss the meeting place, time, and details for the day individually.
If you apply to join an event
1. Find a post you like
Search the post list for plans that match your interests, area, and date. There are many types of posts, such as sightseeing, walking, meals, shopping, and events.
2. Ask questions in the open chat
If you have questions, you can ask in the open chat before applying. It is useful for checking the details and meeting place.
3. Apply to join
When you find a post you want to join, send an application. If the organizer approves it, your participation is confirmed.
4. Confirm details in private chat
After approval, you can communicate directly with the organizer in private chat. Confirm the meeting place and details so you can join with confidence.
After the event
Review the event and the other person
From the day after the event, you can post a review. Please review each other.
About chat
Open chat
This is a public chat prepared for each post. People can ask questions before applying and use it to check the post details together. For paid posts, it is safer to confirm the fee and details before applying.
Private chat
This chat becomes available only to participants after the organizer approves an application. You can use it to discuss the meeting place, details, and other private arrangements.
- After the event date has passed, once an event participant posts a review, the chat history will be completely deleted.
About tickets
- A ticket is required to publish a post. However, simply publishing a post does not consume a ticket.
- If the event date passes with no applications, the post will be treated as unmatched and no ticket will be consumed.
- If there is at least one approved participant when the event date arrives, the ticket for that post will be consumed.
- In other words, tickets are not consumed just by posting. They are consumed only when a post is successfully matched with an approved participant.
- If you approved an application but cannot contact the person in chat before the event, you can reject the application to avoid consuming a ticket.
Examples of posts you can create
- ・I'm going shopping downtown, but it feels a bit boring alone. Anyone free to come along?
- ・I usually go for a light jog after work, and it would be nice to run with someone sometimes.
- ・I'm planning to explore a popular sightseeing area by myself. Anyone want to walk around together and maybe grab a drink afterward?
- ・I'm driving to another city during the holidays. If anyone is free and heading the same way, want to ride together for part of the trip?
For safe use
- Keep communication within the service and be respectful to others.
- If you feel uneasy, do not force yourself to apply or approve an application.
- Make sure to confirm important details such as the meeting place and time in advance.
- Reviews after events should be based on facts and should not include slander or insults.
- If you post photos that can identify a person, be sure to get consent from the event participants.
